In this joint webinar, we cover how to export a RidleyWorks design project into PSIM using the new PSIM-RidleyWorks link.
RidleyWorks allows users to easily design a power converter with analog control. Another key feature is the magnetics design element which models the core losses and proximity losses of the windings. Until now the only option to export this converter was to export into LTspice or to build the converter from scratch in another tool.
Now with a click of a button, you can export your design, including core and proximity models, into PSIM.
PSIM is a general-purpose simulation tool, specifically designed for power electronics, which will allow for a fast, robust, and accurate simulation of the RidleyWorks designed converter.
One of the most important outcomes from the collaboration of PSIM and RidleyWorks is a much improved AC sweep in PSIM. For the last 25 years, the PSIM AC sweep has introduced a small perturbation and then observed the gain and phase impact. The new AC sweep does something similar but the whole process has been optimized and better thought out so that the number of cycles simulated has been greatly reduced. PSIM can now do a close loop transfer function sweep:
